Before that I used SkyMaxxPro v3 with Real Weather Connector. You could either use default XP or something like Pilots FS Global Real Weather. I suspect the "new" extended DSF feature in 10.4x might be the reason that extended clouds are also possible now. It isnt much more expensive than Skymaxx pro or UWXP combined with Real Weather Connector or FSGRW.
